The Moonstone's Tale
Once upon a time, in a distant and mystical kingdom beyond the rugged mountains, through the enchanted forests and over the seven shimmering seas, lived an old king named Elohar. Despite his wealth and power, King Elohar was deeply unhappy. His heart was weighed down with sorrow, for he was lonely and had no child to call his own, no heir to inherit his mighty kingdom.
Since his beloved queen passed away, Elohar's heartache had multiplied tenfold. His only solace was gazing into the night sky, seeking comfort in the brilliance of the moon and the distant stars. They were his companions on lonely nights filled with despair.
One such night, as Elohar was looking up at the sky, he saw a shimmering blue moonstone appearing. It was glowing beautifully, illuminating the dark night sky. Elohar gazed in awe, feeling a strange sense of peace and tranquility washing over him.
"Why do you weep, noble king?", a gentle voice asked, breaking the silence. Elohar turned in surprise to find a mystical fairy emerging from the glowing moonstone. Her beauty was so divine and otherworldly, that he was momentarily lost for words.
After gathering his wits, he replied, "I have no child of my own, no one to hold, love, and groom to be a worthy leader." The fairy listened intently, her eyes filled with compassion. "You have a loving heart, noble king. For one who wishes to share his love and wisdom, I will grant you a wish."
Overwhelmed by this sudden ray of hope, Elohar wished for a child. The fairy conjured a tiny crystal cradle in which lay a golden egg. "In three days, this egg shall hatch, and a child shall be born to you."
For the next three days, Elohar watched over the egg with anticipation. He could hardly believe his eyes when the egg cracked open on the third day, revealing a beautiful baby boy. Elohar named him Arion, after the brightest star in the universe.
The boy was nothing short of a miracle. Arion grew rapidly, not just in size but in wisdom and strength as well. He learned quickly, mastering archery, swordsmanship, languages, and art in the blink of an eye. He radiated so much warmth and light, reminding Elohar of his cherished moon.
On Arion's sixteenth birthday, he was made the Prince of the Kingdom. There was a grand celebration, with people from all corners of the kingdom gathering to congratulate their future king. Elohar, with tears of joy in his eyes, couldn't help but feel complete.
Arion proved to be everything his father wished for and more. He ruled with love, compassion, and wisdom spreading prosperity, peace, and happiness across the lands. His virtuous and humble demeanor earned him the respect and love of his people.
One day, Elohar, growing older and weaker, handed Arion his crown and the moonstone before peacefully joining the stars in the night sky. Looking up at the moon, Arion thanked his father and promised to continue his legacy of love and wisdom.
Centuries passed, and the story of King Arion lived on in the hearts of people, passed down from generation to generation. The tale of the lonely king and the beautiful moonstone was often told when the moon shone the brightest, casting her illuminating light over the kingdom below.
Children listened in awe as their elders recounted the heartwarming tale of Elohar and Arion. The spectacular saga of love, longing, and fulfillment resonated throughout the kingdom and far beyond its borders.
And every time the moon shone bright, they whispered, "There shines Arion, the moon child, sharing his wisdom and love with us, much like his father did." And the bright moon would glow even brighter, keeping the tale - The Moonstone's Tale alive through times.
